Clock info

In the past two days we learnt about measuring clocks. I found it easy to do the word search I found it hard to know the time Next time I will put more info abut clocks.

I  found it hard to reflect back on what me and Nicolo did.

I found it easy to remember one thing that  was the funniest nicolo getting beating up by my dog.

next time i will make sure i have no spelling mistakes.

potato battery

In science electivee did rotation about solar car a magnet car, Brainbox, Potato battery and a lemon battery Our first one we did was the brain box but second one we did was the potato battery.In potato battery we did seven potatoes for a little light with copper wire pennies and nails. We did like three tries the first one was fi the second one was a fail and the third one we flipped them all over like we put the nails and pennies the wrong way and then it did work.

I found it challenging to think about how to get all of the writing stuff like all the years of summer olympics and try to make them readable not so tiny I found it not so challenging was to copy and paste and read all the questions properly.next time I will answer everything in a full sentence and i will put more in the answer. 

100m sprint

100m sprint in writing time in Mr Barclays writing group we were writing about a 100m sprint.

I found it challenging to write descriptive language and find descriptive.I found not so challenging to write about the go. And all the paragraphs.I found it hard and easy to write about lie how i did it the adjectives and others. 

Fathers day in lockdown

 In lockdown me and my siblings made my dad a fathers day card we put happy fathers day on it and we wrote all these cool things about our dad.I found it challenging to think about what to write i found it challenging to think how i'm gonna plan the layout of the card.We also  just spent wonderful time with our dad. 

fantasy creature

 

In writing over the past 2 weeks we have been working on our fantasy creature my fantasy creatures name is Sabre because he is a werewolf and  it has tusks of a saber tooth tiger so I named it Sabre my creature was found in the snow we brought him to the village and we zapped him to life and made a replica and zapped that to life and now he is the guardian of a village and he only eats  meats and chicken he is only mean to people that try to steal from the village.And he has a frousios growl and he jumps really high and has packed wings and eagle eyes.

Brain science

 today in science we did brain science so its pretty much like positive and negative we did the right thing twice but then at that moment we didn't know we did not have a fuser so it couldnt work so we got a fuser so we did pass and didn't pass.I found it challenging was to spot that we didn't have a fuser..the thing i didn't find challenging was the putting together and putting positive and negative in the right place.And we were tring to get a windmell but a mini one we got it to work and we were so proud it even flew up.

Cotton ball launcher

 In science we were creating and modifying a cotton ball launcher. For this you will need two strong rubber bands and two toilet paper rolls and one pencil you will need to cut one of the toilet paper rolls and you will need to put tape once you've made it smaller you get your punch hole and and do one hole on each side you stick the pencil in there and the you get your bigger one and cut two slit on each side then you get your rubber bands an put the in there you get your tape and stick it down them stretch the two rubber bands on each side of the pencil and put the cotton ball in there and you pull the pencil back and weeeeeeeeee the cotton ball launcher goes flying. I found it challenging to modify and what I could do to make the cotton ball launcher go further mine only went 220 cm im pretty sure or mm the high score was 330 set by Ruby and Carter tied the record.i found it not so challenging was putting it all together and creating it at the start.

Tokyo olympics acrostic poem

 

In writing to day were were writing about a acrostic poem about the 2021,20 Tokyo olympics the one thing that challenged me the most was the M and the I the one thing that wasnt that challenging to find was the T and the Y  we did a acrostic poem about the olympics because that was our inquiry and on sunday 8 of august 2021 the tokyo olympics ended.

100m sprint

In writing were were writing a creative piece of writing and it was about us competing in a 100 sprint.

We had to write about our feelings like butterflies nervous the one thing that challenged me was the mote and to write about my feelings and actions. The things that weren't that challenging as the others were the title the people and the others.Please right in the comments if there is anything you would change and advice.

Animation about basket ball

In inquiry we were learning about the Olympic values that are respect friendship and excellence 

me and my group had to create a athlete competing in a Olympic sport so we did basketball. We did the Golden state warriors and our player was Steph curry. And we did Steph curry dunking into the basket ball hoop. The one thing that challenged me was trying to keep my mates on track when they would just do something totally different. the thing that was super easy was to think and create the animation. we all had our own roles my role was to create the background and move the character slide by slide. The one thing that also challenged me was to think about the background the team and the player  so without looking and copying i got created and did my basket ball hero. and team which is Steph curry and Golden state warriors. I really thought and hard thought what I was gonna write and think about the background the clothes and the outfit.

The egg drop

In science today we were learning about Newtown's first laws of motion.For when you hit the egg into the cup for this experiment you will need a cup a plastic plate and a empty toilet paper roll.You fill the cup up to like about halfway and then you put the plate on the cup and put the toilet paper roll on the plate and put the precious humpty dumpty egg on top.And when you hit the plate you don't want to swing it like a baseball bat you want to wack it and hopefully wake the plate and make the egg drop in.I found it easy to strategize  the power and force for that when I hit the cup it goes in.I found it hard to not swing it like a baseball bat and whack it.With the same force I always yous and not go harder.Next time I will hit the plate the same forces i did when i make it in the cup.Another thing the egg doesn't want to move it wants to stay inertia which is another word for lazy it means like if somethings moving it doesn't want to stop and if something isn't moving it doesn't want to move.

M AND M stacking

In science we were attempting to stack m & m's. I could only stack three but some people stacked four which was actually one person.

I found it easy to stack three m & m's and fell them like to identify what one has the flattest bottom so it could be the base.

I found it hard to stack five m and m's I could only get three m & m's.

Next time I will take Vinnies advice and attempt and keep on trying to stack the most m & m's.

 

Create flood

 

I found it easy to design my emergency kit.

I found it hard to not over think my emergency kit.

Next time i will use more detail.

I am learning about floods.

I found it easy to think about what i was gonna do and plan it out.

I found it hard to Think abut my bright side.

next time i will add more detail in my sun.

I enjoyed poly lining and creating this.

Coin science

 In science we were learning about New towns first laws of motion and to do that we had to put the paper on the cup and the coin sitting on the paper you flick it and try get it into the cup and try not to flick it hard you have to flick it at the right pressure and angle on my first go i flicked it way to high and on my third go I flicked the paper in the right angle right direction.

I found it easy to identify the angles and pressure with you'r flick and get at the right angle pressure and get it in the cup.

I found it hard to flick two coins I thought it would of been easier because the weight but didn't happen. 

Next time I will try to flick it in the cup on my first go with heaps of coins stacked on top of each other.

Book review about the oil leaks

 

cold air balloon

 I observed watching the cold air balloon blow up and it did not inflate.

Next time I wonder if the balloon will pop if you have a big as bottle of vinegar and baking soda and a big balloon and i wanna see it explode. The first try we did the balloon popped and the second time it popped and went into mrs bavas face just the baking soda and it went in her mouth.

In science we were learning about baking soda and vinegar you add the vinegar to the bottle and add the baking soda to the balloon and then put it upside down and it will make a reaction and then the balloon will blow up and not go down.

Today in writing we were publishing or starting our poem about me.

Next time I will change some of my sentences.

I found it easy to polyline my person/photo.

I found it hard to not put mistakes in my sentences.

Persuasive Writing

 

  

In writing were were learning about how to write a piece of persuasive writing about should we be prepared for a natural disaster.

Next time I will add more descriptive words and not over think my sentences and paragraphs. 

I found it easy to work out and plan how my persuasive writing is gonna go and the words. 

I found it hard to not over think my writing. To say if there was a natural disaster and you have nothing and your on high ground you have no water and you die from starvation.

SCIENCE ELECTIVE MAKING BALLOON ROCKETS

 In science today we were learning the laws of motion and making balloon rockets we  had three people two people to hold the string and hold it tight and the other one to get a centimeter of a paper straw  and some tap thread your paper straw through the and put your tape the straw blow up a balloon and put it on the tape and let go and watch it go across the string.And sadly our group failed all of them because it just kept on spinning.

LAVA LAMPS SCIENCE ELECTIVE

I found it easy add the tablets because all you had to do was break it up and put it in the oil water and food coloring.

I found it hard to add the right amount of food coloring because if you dont it gonna look boring and not look like lava lamp.

Next time I will use a torch and not add them all at once.

In science we were learning how to make lava lamps for this to work you need food coloring, Oil, And these tablets.

BATH BOMBS SCIENCE ELECTIVE

In science we were learning about how to make bath bombs and mix baking soda, Epsom salt, Water , Essential oil, Olive oil coconut oil or almond oil and 2 to 3 drops of food coloring.

I found it hard to not tip the food colouring to that it goes dry so you have to have the right amount and if it starts to fizz you have to mix it straight away.

I found it easy to mix the colors and if the fork or spoon is not working good you have to just get in there with  your hands.

Next time I will add more colors and not make it fizz.

 We are learning about the oil leaks new zealands leaks.

I found it easy to Pollyline my fish.

I found it hard to think aout what im gonna do and how im gonna create a poster.

Next time i will use more detail in my pollylining and poster just everything.

Book review about the oil leaks in Tauranga New zealand

 In my opinion this book is great because it tells you about the oil leaks that Tauranga had.

We are learning about the oil leaks Tauranga and Gisborne

I found it hard to do my follow up questions.

I found it easy to  finish my book review           

Next time I will pay more attention and not be zommie zoom in my follow up and book review.

I learned that chrichurch had a big earthquake and art gallery was closed.
